Mental Health Support for Military-Connected Individuals — Vienna, VA & Northern Virginia

Northern Virginia is home to one of the largest military-connected communities in the country. Tammy Endicott, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, doesn’t just understand military life clinically — she has lived it. As an active-duty military spouse for 32 years and the mother of two military BRATs, Tammy brings a depth of personal understanding that no textbook can teach. She provides compassionate, confidential psychiatric care for service members, veterans, military spouses, and the children and teens of military families throughout Vienna, Fairfax County, and Northern Virginia.

A Provider Who Has Lived Military Life

Tammy spent 32 years as an active-duty military spouse — navigating deployments, reintegrations, frequent moves, the emotional weight of a partner's service, and raising two military children of her own. She knows what it means to hold a household together through a deployment cycle. She knows what reintegration really looks like. And she knows the particular mental health burden that military life places on spouses, partners, and children who rarely get the same level of recognition and support as the service member.

That lived experience — layered on top of her dual board certification and 30+ years of clinical practice — makes Tammy one of the most genuinely equipped psychiatric providers in Northern Virginia for military-connected patients.

Deployment
Stress & Reintegration

Deployment and reintegration are among the most emotionally demanding periods in military life — for the service member, the partner at home, and the children trying to make sense of it all. Tammy provides confidential psychiatric support for anxiety, depression, and mood management before, during, and after deployment cycles. Her Vienna, VA practice is conveniently located for military-connected individuals across Fairfax County, Arlington, and Northern Virginia.

Children & Teens of Military Families

Military children and adolescents face challenges that most of their peers don't — frequent school transitions, the stress of a parent's deployment, and the emotional complexity of homecoming and reintegration. Behavioral challenges, school anxiety, ADHD symptom escalation, and adjustment difficulties are common responses to these experiences. Tammy evaluates and treats military children and teens as individuals — with deep attention to the specific context of their lives — providing age-appropriate psychiatric care with care plans that flex around military family realities.

Please note: Tammy provides individual psychiatric care for children, teens, adults, and spouses within military-connected households. She does not provide family therapy or couples counseling as a unit. If you are looking for those modalities, she can provide referral guidance to qualified providers in the Northern Virginia area.
